Easy ways to make money for kids

There will be two phases of gold-making in Wrath of the Lich King.

In the beginning, as soon as the patch is out, many folks will be power-leveling their professions to the new max. Some are already trying to acquire recipes and mats that will take their profession to the cap.

GATHER, GATHER, GATHER!! In particular, mining and herbalism will be huge in the beginning. Demand for ore and herbs will skyrocket and you’ll be able to set and command a high price. If you are strictly interested in making gold, I recommend those two gathering professions…at least until the economy stabilizes.

After things settle, and your server gets a healthy population of level 80s, the end-game view of professions will be to have the more rare recipes on your servers. These will be obtained by doing the daily quests for those professions, collecting the tokens and using them to get the unique recipes.

Having said that, there is still a risk with that. Unless you can start collecting tokens from Day One, other crafters will be ahead of you in what recipes they can obtain.  So if you only have one level 80 toon, and you aren’t doing a crafting profession’s daily quests from the very beginning, other crafters will snag the good recipes. In addition, even if you are the first to get the rare recipes, there will always be others who catch up to you (or have more time to grind than you do), who will eventually undercut you. So, if you’re banking on being the only one on a server with a recipe, you’re rolling the dice.

There will always, ALWAYS be a need for gathered items. Gold-makers know this, and collect like crazy, and other than manipulating the Auction House, it’s the most secure way of making gold repeatedly.

If you have read through this entire site, you know this advice already, but: get on thottbot.com (the beta side), and find out what mats will be used, and in what quantities, to level up the crafting professions. Stock up on those mats, because in the first few days, you won’t be able to keep them on the AH, regardless of how much you price gouge!

Please note that this requires a fair amount of time input in the two days to actually have this kind of outcome, So don’t kick a fuss if it doesn’t work for you because you don’t put in the time.

This is another guide that I have used and found extremely useful IF you have the time required to make this profitable.

Yes, it can yield you 500 gold in 2 days but you will have to play 8 hours a day in order to do it! For some people this just isn’t realistic.

I’m taking it upon myself to let everyone know about this because I have made a sickly amount of gold here latley, and a very disturbing amount in the past 2 weeks.

As a 60 Rogue in full epic gear(bloodfang) I can kill these in about 7 seconds each, literally. The respawn rate is insanely fast, When you kill the whole spawn camp of them which is about 11-12 and take a 1 minute break you’ll start having respawns to kill.

Where does the money come from you ask?

First you have some stackable gray items that are very commonly dropped:

Large Bear Bone(Non-Stackable) – 14s 84c each
Bear Jaw(Stackable) – 8s 98c — 89s 80c per Stack of 10.
Savage Bear Claw(Stackable) – 5s 78c — 57s 80c per Stack of 10.
Bear Flank(Stackable) – 5s 78c — 57s 80c per Stack of 10.
Wicked Claw(Stackable) – 5s — 25s per Stack of 5.

I make anywhere from 9 to 13 gold in gray items per hour here.

Even without the skinning compared to most places this is a great camp for gold/hr. But skinning is where a lot of the money to come from if you want the results like I get.

You can skin Rugged and Thick leather off of these. My server prices are 2.50g per stack of Rugged and 1.50g per stack of Thick. Server prices are going to range, The intake of gold on this obviously is based only on my servers prices, But you will still make amazing gold here if you put the time in.

So where does all the money come from?

I take 8 hours a day and I run it here, Straight. Not every day, Usually in the evenings and into the late hours on the nights I’m not raiding and ocasionally if there is a third day I’ll get up around 7am to start and I can be done around mid afternoon so I can enjoy the day or do something else in game.

A single hour run brings on brings me in 6 Stacks of Rugged Leather and 5 stacks of Thick Leather. I don’t know if it’s because my kill rate is fast or just pure luck, But I can’t remember when I have come away from this with less leather then that in an hours run.

6x 2.50g = 15g per hour
5x 1.50g = 7.5g per hour

If I average out my usual grey items income per hour then I come away with 10.5g per hour. I’m going to edit this tomorrow and record all of my drops and leather intake from my 8 hours, But this is accurate. I’ve been making money like this for months now.

Now, On to the juicy part…

Intake per hour based on Leather sales on the AH is 22.50g Per HOUR.

Intake per hour based on sellable greys averages out at about 10.50g

33 Gold per hour.

I run this 8 hours per day, Two days a week. Sometimes 3 but rarely. Skinning is obviously required to get the bigger chuck of change for your time. Some of you all day BG’ers could make literally thousands of gold here in a week if you took a week off from all day long BG and went here, Just a thought. And I’m not exaggerating. Thousands.

I try to run these 2 days back to back and I generally refuse to put up my auctions and vendor until I have my 16 hours worth of loot. I just throw it all in the bank.

At the end of my 2 days I usually end up taking 510g – 545g out of my mailbox. +\- a few gold for randomness of drops.

I have over 5000g in my bag right now. If you want an exact number then it’s 5649g. All of that gold was made in this spot except about 600g.

Maybe some of you should thinking of switching professions

There the mobs will radiate a potion called ‘Greater Protection Potion’. It is one of the finest ways to earn gold, since this potion is cat out quite often and you can obtain 1 gold for each potion.

Is quick world of warcraft gold possible?

Yes it is! I have met and seen several World of Warcraft players create quick gold since I started playing several years ago. Everyone has different ways or methods, but they all tend to gravitate to certain ways. The following tips are some ways I have come across that will help you to make gold quickly.

1) The most common strategy for quick world of warcraft gold is to complete quests, slay as many beasties as you can along the way and earn some fast gold. You will mostly be getting copper and silver, but it will quickly add up. Be sure to pick quests that you are capable of handling. 4. If you are going to be away from a major town for awhile, create a second toon or mule. You can give everything you pickup to him and leave him in one of the main cities. Send him everything. When necessary, he can go to the Auction House to list stuff. He can also go to the Bank and store stuff. Also, if you get him enough bags he can act as more FREE storage for you! This will definitely help you achieve quick world of warcraft gold.

#1. Get Auctioneer – Yeah this is a no-brainer. But there’s only so much you can do on the auction house and that’s where professions + farming come in.

#2. Farming – You should always farm with a purpose. By farming for something which you can modify with a profession, you will be well on your way to finding gold making ‘secrets.’ For instance, you can craft Stonegaurd Bands with Jewelcrafting by simply farming eternal earths from mining or from mobs and then disenchant the bands into far more than what the earths cost. By farming for earths and then modifying the earths with two professions you end up with insane profits. #3. Professions – I mentioned that farming for the purpose of modifying items through professions was a great way to make money. Well how can you do this if you don’t have ALL the professions. Either team up with friends or do the hard work for getting enough characters to span every profession in the game for maximum gold oppurtunities. You never know what the next big patch is going to do… it could ruin your favorite profession or turn a worthless one into a gold mine.

You don’t need to be grind for hours just to make WoW gold. There is an easier way to acquire gold without spending the whole day killing a particular mob and hoping they drop the occasional green item that you can sell at the Auction House.

A common misconception a lot of WoW gamers have is that they need to be at a high level before they can make WoW gold. At a higher level, they could easily kill mid-level mobs. Through this process they do gain gold but there’s a much faster and easier way to achieve it.

It’s not to say that grinding is bad but you must only do so when a quest asks for it or if that particular mob drops an item that you could sell at the Auction House, such as cloths and marks for Aldor or Scryer rep. When you combine questing with grinding, you not only level faster but you make WoW gold as well.

High levels don’t have the monopoly of the WoW gold. You don’t need to max out your level in order to become a gold making machine. Once you reach level 5, you can learn complimentary professions such as Engineering and Mining. Then search for copper veins and build up your mining skill. You can smelt the copper ores collected into bars and sell these in the Auction House. Copper bars or any other bars are always in demand in any WoW server as bars are needed by several professions such as Engineering, Jewelcrafting and Blacksmithing. Other gathering skills such as Skinning, Herbalism and even Fishing can make WoW gold faster than grinding. You just need to supply what’s in demand in the Auction House.

To fully maximize your WoW gold making potential, you must make the Auction House your friend. You can utilize the Auction House to buy cheap materials so that you can build up your profession skills. The things you build with your profession can also be sold at the Auction House.

Now that you have some gold from your professions, the next step in making WoW gold is to engage in the buy and sell business. This involves searching the Auction House for bargains and selling them at a much higher price. An Auctioneer add-on can help you with this task.

And when you do achieve the coveted level 70, you must accept every quest left and do them. Although you won’t be receiving any experience from it, you’ll receive gold rewards. The average reward for a completed quest is around 10 gold. Not only that, there are tons of daily quests that can be repeated every day. You can do 25 daily quests each day with an average gold reward of 1o gold as well. If you complete all 25 in a day, multiply 25 by ten, and you’ll have around 250 gold for the day.

These are just some ways in which you can make WoW gold in a fast and easy way. WoW is a fun game and farming gold should not take that fun away from it.

Everyone needs a fast way to make 5000 gold in WoW. After all, it will cost you 5000 gold to fly around the Outlands in your epic mount, and everybody knows that if you are an elite player, you have an epic mount. But here you are, looking for a fast way to make 5000 gold in WoW because you don’t have yours yet. Well, tons of players do not have an epic mount so if you do not have one you are not alone. But fear not, you will be in this exclusive crowd very soon. The answer that unlocked the gold puzzle for me and allowed me to make several thousand gold was one word: arbitrage.

What is arbitrage?

Arbitrage is simply buying something at a low price and reselling it for a higher price. Money is made this way all of the time in the real world, and you can do it in Azeroth too using the Auction House, and it’s a really fast way to make 5000 gold in WoW. There’s all kinds of opportunity available at the Auction House, and once you get good at exploiting it, you can make a lot of money for very little work. This is what allowed me to make the gold for my mount and then some, using only maybe 15 minutes a day. Imagine being able to log on and do your buying and listing on the Auction House for the first 15 minutes of your game and then go off and do whatever it is you do: PvP, raids, herioc runs, etc. Sounds a lot better than farming right?

OK, so how can I use arbitrage to actually make money?

There are many ways to use this concept, the most basic being just buy stuff up that you see listed below market price and relist it for more money. Are you an enchanter that buys enchanting supplies often? Then if you see a Large Prismatic Shard up on the AH for 5 gold, you know that it is priced way too low, so you buy it and relist for 15 gold. Viola! It sells and you just made 10 gold. It’s not a lot, but there are tons of deals like this on the AH everyday, and if you can flip enough auctions you will have a fast way to make 5000 gold in wow. A couple tips of how to find deals:

1. Check the AH early in the morning. Players play all night and when they get tired they list things that they have acquired during their session and log off. Since they’re tired, they make mistakes. You can find some stuff listed at way too low of a price early in the morning.

2. Use the Auctioneer add-on. This will help you identify low prices on items that you may not be familiar with.

Are there other ways to use arbitrage?

There sure are. You can combine arbitrage with your profession for a really fast way to make 5000 gold in wow.

1. Are you an enchanter? If so, you can buy green items and disenchant and list the materials on the AH for more money than you paid originally. You can also craft cheap greens by buying the mats, DEing, and listing. I have made a lot using enchanting.

2. Are you a jewelcrafter? Buy ores, prospect, and list the the gems on the AH for more money. Sometimes you can cut them for even more profit! Don’t just focus on high level gems either, the low level stuff can be profitable too.

3. Can you transmute? Or more importantly, can you buy the mats, perform the transmute, and relist the result for more money? If so, you can make some extra profit everyday.

The demand for strategies on how to effectively make gold on World of Warcraft is very high. Players are paying hundreds of real dollars to buy thousands of online gold. Gold-selling advertisers spend big bucks to drive traffic to their sites, but selling gold wrecks the in-game economy. Not to mention it’s a violation of the Terms of Service and End-User License Agreement of the game, and can result in having the player account banned.

Because of the need for gold-making strategies, various gold guides have been created. These guides are the response to the illegal gold trade, and usually contain valid, useful information on how to LEGALLY make gold in the game. The prices of the guides vary wildly, from as little as $5 to as much as $50.

On the expensive end of the spectrum, the guides tend to be thick and pretty. But often the thickness comes in the form of filler. A 4-page list of what vendors sell what rare recipes is an easy way to ‘bulk up’ a guide, even though the value it offers is miniscule. Some guides make liberal use of graphics to increase their size without adding value.

Even though the expensive guides may be more fluff than they are worth, the content is usually still pretty good. The high-end guides have an obligation to keep their guides updated, which is necessary considering the number of changes that Blizzard has implemented in the game. Some of the cheaper guides will sometimes offer out-dated advice, such as farming Scarlet Monestary cemetary for green and blue drops to disenchant. (Blizzard nerfed that place a year ago, and the mobs only drop copper, but I still see guides that recommend that as a gold-making strategy).

The exception to that rule about cheap sites is http://www.makewowgold.com. It was always priced ‘for the price of a burger’…much cheaper than many other strategy guides, yet is continuously updated. The author claims he just wanted to recover some costs for web-hosting and his time, not retire to the Caribbean.

But the competition for gold guides is so high now, and few of them contain ‘new’ information. They all contain the same tips, for the most part. Some are ‘beefier’ than others, but that just means that the guides are filled with strategies that are not as good. There are really only a few best practices. So, in the spirit of getting the information in the hands of the players reasonably, MakeWoWGold is providing a free username/password right on its main page.

This is the first time a Warcraft Gold Guide that once charged a fee is being offered for free. And while the site is not perfect, and is not huge, the core content is solid and worth a read. It covers the basics of Auction House sales, mobs to kill, Professions, etc. Its focus is educational…teaching players HOW to think about making gold, in addition to the basic “go here and kill X”. There is a “Myth” section which helps correct some wrong-headed thinking that many players have about making gold.

One of the advantages to having a cheap, or even free wow gold guide is that most of the expensive guides offer money-back guarantees. So, if you read the free guide, and learn a bunch of strategies, then buy an expensive guide and it has mainly the same strategies, you can get a refund for the expensive guide…with a clean conscience, since it did not really teach you anything new. So if you think that those expensive guides really do have a secret that a free guide does not, you are a little safer to try them out since you have a legitimate reason to ask for a refund if there is really very little new information.
