Choosing a payment method (for buyers)

In this article

How you pay for an item depends partly on what payment methods your seller accepts. Every seller is unique. Read the item description before you bid to find out what payment options you have. Most sellers accept PayPal because it transfers funds immediately and they can ship your item right away instead of waiting for funds to clear.

The fastest way to pay on eBay is by clicking the Pay Now button, which allows you to use PayPal, ProPay, Moneybookers, or Paymate. Learn more about how to pay.

When you’re choosing a payment method, look for options that are convenient for you, secure, and traceable, just in case there’s a problem. Use this table to compare payment methods.

This payment method…

Offers these advantagesâ€

PayPal

√ Payment is convenient and immediate. You pay right from the item listing page and your payment is deposited directly into the seller’s account.

√ You don’t have to use a credit card. You can transfer money directly from your bank account.

√ If you use a credit card, sellers don’t see your card number. It’s safely encrypted through PayPal’s server to help minimize any risk of unauthorized use.

√ On eligible transactions you’re covered by PayPal Buyer Protection for up to the full purchase price of your item, plus original shipping charges.

Credit card or debit card to a seller with an Internet merchant account

√ Payment is convenient and immediate. You pay directly from the item listing page or email notification.

√ Your payment is secure. When you pay with a credit card using the eBay Checkout Pay Now button, your payment is processed without the seller ever seeing your credit card number. The seller receives email notification of your payment.

√ Payment is traceable. You can track the status of your payment using My eBay or your credit card account.

√ You may have some liability coverage. Your credit card company may provide a certain level of purchase protection. Contact your credit card company to learn more.

√ You don’t need to register with ProPay to make payments.

Pay upon pickup

Along with other allowed payment methods, sellers can also offer this option.

√ You have an opportunity to inspect items in person at the time of payment.

√ You can coordinate pickup location and time with the seller at a time and place that’s convenient for you both. (Be sure to document your payment and proof of delivery.)

√ You don’t have to pay shipping costs, although some sellers have a surcharge for in-person pickup.

√ You can choose whatever payment method your seller specifies in the listing, including checks, money orders, cash, PayPal, or credit card. Buyer protection varies by payment method.

Escrow

This is recommended for high-priced items. Learn more about how escrow works and which escrow sites are eBay approved.

√ Payment is held by the escrow service until you receive and approve the item.

Note: There have been reports of fraudulent sellers using nonexistent escrow companies. If you use an escrow service other than eBay’s recommended escrow partner, do your homework and make sure you verify the reputation and reliability of the company.

Other payment methods

Checks, money orders, and bank wire transfers aren’t allowed for most eBay purchases.

But sellers can offer these payment methods for certain items in some categories, including Motors, Capital and Business Equipment, Real Estate, and Adult Only.

For more on exceptions, see Accepted Payments policy.

√ Checks and money orders are traceable to a particular mailing address and provide proof of payment. (While fraud is rare, money is very difficult to recover when it occurs.)

√ If you run into a problem before the check is cashed, most banks offer a stop-payment service. Some money order services might also offer this service.

√ For bank transfers, payment is deposited immediately into the seller’s account .

Note: Remember that if you pay by check, your seller will wait for the funds to clear before shipping your item.

Important: Sellers can’t require you to pay using payment methods that aren’t allowed on eBay. And if your seller wants to change payment methods after the listing has ended, you can insist on paying with one of the methods specified in the seller’s original listing. For more about safe payment methods, see Accepted Payments policy.

Jobs For 14 Year Olds Instant Jobs For 14 Year Olds

As a teenager these days it can be near impossible sometimes to find an honest, decent paying job thats not too far from home especially if you live in an isolated area. Even when you finally do manage to find a job its normally long hours on the good old youth rates. This is what happens to most teens which is sad when you consider the options that are now available to them these days. What you are about to read in the following paragraphs will change all this forever.

Forget what you have ever learnt about making money online and say hello to “Online Form Completion Surveys” The internet is full of get rich schemes promising to overfill your bank account with instant riches but they never deliver and that is why most people are afraid to try something new online from fear of being burnt or sucked in. Online form completion surveys are different in the fact that they are offering jobs for 14 year olds that are traditional “Work and get Paid” type jobs. Honest Jobs.

This is fast becoming the most popular way by far for teens to make money and for very good reasons too. Apart from the fact that teens are the highest paid survey takers they are attracted to surveys because acceptance is almost 100% guaranteed so no more job interviews, they make at least $20 per hour so no more youth rates, no travel to work, no mean boss and they choose when and for how long they work. These companies want to know what type of sneakers they like and do they drink coke or Pepsi. All they need is an opinion and when was the last time you met a teen that did not have one of those.

It is an excellent way for teens to work whilst studying with minimal disruption to their daily routine as well as giving them the freedom and pleasure that comes along with earning their own pay packet.

For full assistance with getting started today with the best survey companies please visit us below.

Jobs For Teens Under 18

When it comes to jobs for teens under 18, many of you have searched to the end of the web and back again. One thing is always staring you in your face, but you’ve probably tried them before, giving up on them, because they didn’t work for you. It’s a shame, because this absolutely free method to make money online is one of the very best jobs for teens under 18, and I’ll show you exactly how to make it happen.

It’s easy, free and it can actually be fun. If you don’t know by now, I’m talking about our good friends, paid surveys. Many of you are now giving me a weird look, because you’ve tried them before and didn’t feel like you were getting very much cash, but there’s a reason you weren’t making very much money. You probably weren’t looking for the higher paying places the right way, because 90% of us don’t look the right way. Considering this, it’s no wonder why many of you think they stink at being decent jobs for teens under 18.

Well, I’m going to change this for you, because all it takes is one simple tip. If you want to get directly to the best, highest paying places to take surveys, use the power of big forums. It’s your free and instant way to find so much honest information about surveys. Most people go right over to search engines for finding survey sites, which is a big mistake, because none of the high payment websites show up in those lists. Since nine out of ten people look for surveys through a search engine, it’s no wonder why people have given up on them as being great jobs for teens under 18.

You can settle this by sliding over to the archive section of any big forum, because 100′s of very informative topics about surveys are littered throughout. All you need to do is sit back, relax a bit and scroll through some of them. You’ll run into tons of pin point knowledge, because people are always comparing the various survey sites they’ve found where the payments are very high. That’s how you make surveys into fantastic jobs for teens under 18. Surveys can fill your pockets, but not if you’re relying on search engines to locate the best places.

If you’re still struggling to locate jobs for teens under 18 in the real world, this can surely tie you over.

Jobs For 14-Year-Olds

Here are 10 jobs for 14 year olds to make some extra money in their spare time:

1) Wash Windows

A bucket of warm water with a little vinegar in it and a squeegee is all it takes to make money washing windows.

Who has the time any more to wash windows? I know I don’t!

That’s why I happily pay my teens to do the dirty work!

You can charge by the window, for example $5 dollars per window, or by the hour. The money adds up quickly. Try putting up a local flyer in the grocery store, library, etc.

2) Clean Out the Attic or Basement

Isn’t it amazing how much stuff you can accumulate? Most homes are stuffed to the roof tops with junk!

Teens can haul in the cash by cleaning out other people’s junk. And some of it can be recycled for even more cash.

Remember, a cluttered home is a cluttered mind!

3) Mow the Lawn or shovel the drive-way

This may seem obvious – but I’m always AMAZED at how many dads I see mowing their lawns…or shoveling the sidewalk – instead of Johnny Junior!

Besides being great exercise, mowing the lawn or shoveling the walk is good money and good exercise for an ambitious 14 year old.

4) Odd Painting Jobs

Got walls? This is WELL worth paying for!

Many homeowners have a room in their house they’d like to spruce up with a fresh coat of paint. But they don’t have the time or huge outlay of cash to pay a professional painter. But they can afford to pay a teen $50 to $75 dollars for a good job.

And if you’re willing to paint ceilings, you can make even more. Just make sure you have plenty of drop cloths to cover the floor in case of drips.

5) Pool Guy

If you have a pool or jacuzzi, you KNOW that it takes WORK to keep it clean. You can set up weekly or monthly pool cleanings with neighbors. Target a neighborhood with 3 to 4 pools so you can save time and gas by doing at the same time.

6) Brush Clearing

My mother-in-law is always on the look out for strong, reliable teens who want to earn extra money clearing away brush and debri.

Matthew, my 12 year old, just made $20 bucks for a few hours work!

7) Garden Tilling

Every spring and fall, I hire my son Tony to till the vegetable garden. It’s an easy way to earn extra money at home or even around the neighborhood.

8) Bookkeeping

This is not only a great way to earn extra money, but an invaluable and useful skill to learn. That is – if you’re feeling brave with the bills!

9) Landscaping projects or Plant Doctor

Do you have sort of a green thumb? Are you reliable?

Both business owners and home owners need someone to water their indoor plants regularly or when they go on vacation. This is an easy, fun way to make some extra cash.

Or if you have a strong back, you could break out the shovels and beautify yards with a tea rose garden, raised flower bed, or small gold fish pond!

10) Artist

Do you have an artistic or talented teen? Encourage her to advertise her talents and draw, photograph, or sketch portraits to earn extra money at home.

I know of an 18 year old girl who colors horse portraits for extra cash.

Or you could make you own design and sell t-shirts, mugs, etc. on CafePress.

There are many jobs for 14 year olds to make money – you just have to be willing and motivated. And do a little brainstorming!

Best Jobs For Teenagers

Best Jobs For Teenagers – How Kids Make Money Fast!

May 26, 2009

The best jobs for teenagers can be hard to come by. Kids make money by getting hired to do odd jobs and grunt work, but there’s ways to make a lot of money fast that doesn’t require doing dirty work. If you have a PayPal account, that’s all you need to start making $50 or more a day.

Normally, jobs for teenagers require mowing lawns, carrying golf bags as a caddy, or fetching carts at the grocery store. But for those who are creative and ready to make some serious cash right now, there are some much better ways that can pay you more money without the grunt work.

One of the easiest and best jobs for teenagers is to work for themselves making money online. If you have a PayPal account, you’re ready to start receiving cash by filling out surveys online. The more surveys you complete, the more money you make – it’s that easy.

How much can you make? That depends on two things… each survey pays out different amounts of money, so picking highest paying surveys is the first step. The second factor is simply the amount of time you put into making money. You determine how much you make by deciding how many surveys you want to fill out.

There really is no limit on the number of surveys you can fill out. There’s always more work to be done if you’re willing to make more money, but with the right effort you can earn $50 or more every day. That’s cold hard cash that gets sent right to you.

Legitimate Data Entry Jobs – Make Money Online

Do you want to earn $3000+ per month via doing part time or full time, legitimate data entry job?

If yes, then please carry on and read this article; you will learn how and where you can get, 100% legitimate data entry jobs.

First of all, I would like to tell you something about myself. I am a professional doctor. I work for about 10 hours every day at a local hospital.

My salary is ok, but I always wanted to do some part time job as I wanted to earn some more money. So one day, I decided to try what my friend was doing, that is, working at freelancing sites as a part time job.

Actually, there are many people who are doing online work at freelancing sites as a full time job. This means that they are earning some good money on the internet while staying at home.

Making decent living at home: Wow, this is so awesome.

When we talk about online jobs, then freelancing sites are the best place where we can get these jobs. In case you don’t know about freelancing business, then I will quickly explain what freelancing sites are.

Companies all around the world need employees who can do their work, so they hire people and they pay them for the work they do. But there are many problems that company owners face.

Like after gaining a little experience, people start to demand more pay. Or, they just go to some other company that offers them high salary.

Nowadays many company owners are using online freelance websites to hire people online. That’s right; they are hiring people on the internet.

Here is a list of top freelance sites. I personally have only worked at two freelance sites.

Note: I suggest you open these freelance sites in new windows and you keep reading this article. This article will help you understand many things about these freelance sites. Without having the required knowledge about freelance sites, one cannot easily get data entry or other jobs at these sites.

1. Getafreelancer (GAF) [100% Free To Join]

2. Elance [Free Membership Available]

3. Scriptlance (SL) [For The Option "Account Type"; Choose "Programmer" NOT "Buyer"] [100% Free To Join]

4. oDesk

5. EuFreelance

6. Freelancer UK

If you want to know about registration process, how to apply for jobs, how to communicate with buyers etc, then you can read this complete free online jobs guide:

Online Jobs Guide

It’s not that easy to get work at the above mentioned websites. You need some guidance first, you need to know the basics; you need to know many things about these sites.

If you apply for one project, then there are many other people (may be 2 other people, maybe 22) who will apply for the same project. So you need to learn, how you will get a project even with other people fighting to get the same project.

The above mentioned guide is a must read if you really want to make money online.

Few definitions:

Buyers: Are people who outsource jobs at freelance sites. They are the people who give jobs to freelancers.

Service providers: These are the people who seek jobs at freelance sites. Like you and me. Service providers or SPs, do work for buyers and buyers pay them after the work is completed.

Projects: At freelance sites, projects and jobs means the same. If I say “bid on a projectâ€, then it will mean something like “apply for a jobâ€.

After buyer post projects, job seekers like me and you, place bids on these projects. One person may offer to do the project for $100, where other may say $95. May be some other SP will offer to do the work for $90.

Now it’s up to the creator of the project to choose a winner among all job seekers.

Let’s assume that you managed to win a project worth $50. The work is simple data entry job where you have to type content from scanned pages to word documents.

You completed this work in 3 hours and then you delivered the completed work to the buyer. After delivering the work, you waited for the buyer to verify the work.

After the verification, the buyer will pay you $50. Sometimes, buyers also pay bonuses [if they are pleased with your work].

You will get this money [$50], in your freelance account. There are few payment options available at freelance sites via which you can transfer this money from freelance account to your bank account. Details about these options are explained later in this article.

I have mentioned that working at freelance site is free and that you will never spend any money from your pocket to get online jobs.

But when you get money, from buyers, in your freelance account, then there will be a small fee deducted from that money [the money you just earned].

All freelance sites charges a small fee on the money you make. You do not pay this fee from your pocket. This fee will be deducted only when you will complete a job for a buyer and that the buyer pays you the money for the completed work.

The fee which freelance sites charges varies from site to site. This fee can be 5%, 10% etc: it depends on the freelance site where you are working.

The reason for telling you the whole story is to prove that this system is %100 SCAM free. You will never have to pay anything to anyone ever, from your own pocket.

The most amazing thing about freelance sites is that, it’s totally free to join them. You will never be asked to pay any money from your pocket at any point of your freelance career.

You will not pay a single cent to start work there.

So then: Is there any SCAM involved here?

Well, there is not; right?

Freelancing sites offer 100% legitimate data entry jobs. I personally love Copywriting jobs as they pay much better than many other jobs. You can earn a lot of money via doing copywriting work at these websites.

Unfortunately, not everybody can make money online with copywriting jobs as to do this work, one need to write content in proper English. Proper English means, to write content with no spelling and no [or may be very less] grammatical mistakes.

There is no need to worry if your English writing skills are weak as you can still make money online at freelance sites via doing legitimate data entry jobs. You can find hundreds of these jobs at freelance sites every day.

What kind of experience is required to do data entry jobs?

No experience of any kind is required. Everybody can do data entry work. If you know, how to use a PC, then you are eligible to do this work.

There is no need to think about any SCAM here, what I am telling you is %100 scam free. You only need to worry about scams when you are paying money from your pocket. But in this case, you are paying nothing.

If you still worry about scams, then after you earn $30 at a freelance site, you may stop doing more work. First request a withdrawal.

This means that you will request the freelance site to send you your money. Once you receive the money [$30] from freelance site, I guess then you will not worry about SCAM anymore.

I said to first make $30. This is because the minimum amount that you can withdraw at most freelance sites is $30. You cannot withdraw $20 or $22 or any amount of money which is less than $30.

How will you receive your money?

There are many payment options available at freelance sites. Payment options include Paypal , MoneyBookers, Egold etc.

I suggest you use Paypal or Moneybookers, as these two payment options are the cheapest and safest of all. If Paypal is not supported in your country, then use MB. MB is supported in [almost] all countries.

To find more information about payment options, please read the free online jobs guide which I have mentioned above.

Just give it a try; you will not be disappointed

Jobs For 14 Year Olds

In today’s society, most jobs are for 18 years olds and a few for 16 year olds. But no jobs are for 14 year olds. The only options you have are to be a newspaper boy or girl, flip burgers or mow the lawn which does not pay very well. But teens still do those labour jobs because they need the extra cash. Some 14 year olds turn to the online community and make money online!

They take online surveys from home. Completing a survey is really easy because all you need is :

  • A computer
  • Internet connection
  • Your brain

You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to do one or even have any computer experience. Best part is, you can start right away.

Why Would Companies Pay Me For Answering Surveys?

Well it’s because they want your opinion on something before they start selling it. If the majority of 14 year olds don’t like black sneakers, the company won’t make them and instead make another color. But if they had not of asked that question to teens, they would have lost alot of money because no one would have bought their shoes. So they think it’s smarter to pay you to have your opinion.

Taking surveys online is easy but finding a good site is not always as easy because the internet is full of scams. Some sites are legit but don’t pay you all of the money that you deserve to get. So you have to do some research before you actually sign up a site. Usually asking around in forums is the best thing to do. Paid online surveys beats moping the floors and doesn’t hurt your back.
