Paying Your Bill On-line

You can use this site to view and pay your Real Estate Taxes, Tangible Personal Property Taxes, and Centrally Assessed Taxes.

This site is best viewed with Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer 7.0 or better.

Payments for current taxes can be made either by secure Credit Card transaction, or by E-Check. E-Check is a service that allows you to make secure electronic fund transfers directly from personal or business bank accounts. E-Check is not available for paying delinquent taxes.

You must first search for and select the items you wish to pay, and add them to your shopping cart. When you have finished adding items you can complete the process by simply entering your payment details and checking out.

Searching for Accounts

First select the type of bill you wish to pay by clicking either of the Real Estate, Tangible, Central tabs at the top of the page. This will display the search page for the type of account you have selected. The search pages all look similar and operate in the same way.

If you have your tax bill or a parcel number in front of you, the quickest way to search is to enter the Parcel Number and then click on the Search button.

You can also search by Tax Yr, Owner Name, or Property Address (Situs). You may search by owner name in the following ways:

Last Name and First Name (ex. Andrews, Donald)

Last Name, First Initial, and asterisk (ex. Andrews, D*)

Last Name only (ex. Andrews)

First Name only, asterisk and First Name (ex. *Donald)

To search using different fields, click the arrow next to Tax Year, and replace it with another searchable field from the drop-down list. In any tax search, you can narrow the results down by selecting a specific tax year as well as any of the information above. If you have trouble searching, try a more general search by removing some of your search criteria. Not all fields are required to be completed for the search to locate an account.

From the results list, select the record you wish to view or pay by clicking the View link. The year you are looking at will be highlighted in light blue, and the account information will be displayed in the top section of the page. If you wish to sort your displayed results, click on the column name you wish to sort by. Click again to reverse the order of your sort.

For account searches, you can expand any hidden details by clicking the orange caret () next to the section heading.

Making Payments

After viewing an account, click Add to Shopping Cart to make a payment online.

Continue to search, view, and add to your Shopping Cart until you have completed your transactions and are ready to Check Out. If you then want to add an item from a different tax type, simply repeat the search process under the relevant tab heading as before. Previously selected items remain in your Shopping Cart until you have completed the Check Out process or removed them. Note that you can remove items from the Shopping Cart at any time before making your payment by clicking the Remove button next to the appropriate account.

When you are ready to make a payment select the Payment Type from the drop-down menu on the top left of the page.

If paying by Credit Card, enter your details in the Payment Information section as follows:

Cardholder’s Name – The cardholder name as displayed on the front of the card.

Card Number – The account number on the front of the card.

Exp. Date – The expiration date on the front of the card in mm/yy format.

CVV2 Number – Also called the “Security Code” or “Card Member ID”; this is a 3-digit number on the right-hand side of the signature area for Visa, MasterCard and Discover; or the 4-digit number listed above and to the right of the account number on American Express cards.

Address – Please complete all address fields using the billing address for the credit card.

Email Address & Phone Number – Enter contact information so that you can be notified if there is any problem with processing this payment. Any contact information you enter here will not be used for any other purpose.

If paying by E-Check:

Please note: You may NOT submit Electronic Check (E-Check) requests drawn on credit card accounts, money market accounts, home equity or other lines of credit. In addition, some small banks and credit unions may also not accept E-Checks, which they may refer to as a one-time ACH payment. Although the transaction may appear successful, these institutions reject the E-Check as an acceptable form of payment usually within two business days.

Enter your details in the Payment Information section as follows:

Account Holder’s Name – The name as it appears on your Bank Account.

Email Address & Phone Number – Enter contact information so that you can be notified if there is any problem with processing this payment. Any contact information you enter here will not be used for any other purpose.

Address – Please complete all address fields. This will help in correctly identifying your bank account.

Bank Name – The name of your bank.

ABA Number – Also known as the Routing Number; this is a 9-digit number that can be found at the bottom of your paper checks, to the left of your account number.

Account Number – The number of the account from which you wish to make the payment. The format and ordering of numbers on your check may vary, but the account number is always immediately followed by the ||’ character.

Please note: A convenience fee of 2.95% for credit cards will be added to your bill for all payments processed through this site. There is no convenience fee for E-Checks.

Clicking on the Check Out button completes the transaction. Once complete, the transaction cannot be changed or canceled.

You will receive a confirmation that the transaction has been approved and have the option to print a receipt.
