Is it really possible to find some make money online work? There are thousands of ways to make money online but there are only 3 things that I’ve tried. Among those 3 there is only one that changed my life and it’s also the one that you should give a try.

A couple of years ago I worked as a web developer for a publishing company. I said to myself that I’m going to work hard on improving my skills so I could get a higher salary. This is the thinking that we’ve been conditioned to believe and follow all our lives. Basically you have to get a good education, get a decent job, work your ass so you can get a raise, and earn enough for your retirement.

After I quit my job, I didn’t really have any fallback plans. While waiting endlessly for interviews, I decided to try and sell website templates online. I’m not originally a web designer so I had to practice first and followed some tutorials before I could produce anything decent.

After some tutorials I decided to give it a shot and sold my first website template for $150. I was excited that I’ve been able to make money out of nothing and that project only took me less than 15 hours to complete.

If you have any skills, think of a problem that your prospect has that you can solve. In my case, I solved the problem of people who are looking for decent website templates that’s not too expensive.

Make Money Online Work – Freelance Opportunities

Eventually my website template business didn’t work out quite well or maybe I didn’t put enough effort in it. Sometimes my auctions would last for 30 days without any sales and it was really frustrating. I needed to make money in a few weeks and that’s why I was forced to accept some freelance work.

As much as possible I want to work for myself and not for someone else but desperate times call for desperate measures. There are many companies that are looking to outsource some of their work and you can take advantage of that. Freelancing was good and I think I lasted for about 3 months.

You can sign up at some freelance sites like Elance.com or GetAFreelancer.com. Don’t be intimidated by the competition and make sure that you do your best whenever you have your first customer.

Make Money Online Work – Promoting Other Products

I thought that this was a scam and totally impossible when I first heard about this make money online work. For those of you who are not familiar, promoting products of other people in exchange for a commission is called affiliate marketing.

In my opinion, this is the ultimate online business opportunity that anyone could try but most people will really never make it. Many people are led to believe that they can easily be wealthy in just a few months. Admittedly, I was one of them because I didn’t have the right mindset to begin with.

If you’ve never heard of Internet marketing before then try to learn some of the basics before you dive in. It really pays to have some basic knowledge in this type of industry because there are many so-called gurus that prey on beginners.
