Is there any legit way to make money online?

Author There are actually quite a few legit ways to make money online, although like any other business, get-rich-quick is NOT the way to go. There are at least three crucial steps:
1. Figuring out which opportunities are honest and ethical, and which are not.
2. Selecting the one which works best for you.
3. Being PATIENT. (This can be the hardest of all–at least, for me it is.)
My personal experience since I began working online full time (not quite 4 months ago) is as follows:
==eBay is one way people do make money, but you can LOSE money on eBay, too. eBay I found not to be for me as a SELLER. As a seller, I lost money and did NOT have the patience to turn that around. As a BUYER, I think eBay is great. For example, just a few weeks ago, a friend needed a foot spa which retails for more than $3,000. I was able to get her a similar model through eBay for under $150.
==Focusing on building a website, and planning to run an online store, I spent more than $5,000 on the WRONG web host (they were overpriced and under-competent) before giving up.
==Web host #2 was very inexpensive, but turned out to be totally incompatible with Windows Vista, which is all I have.
==Web host #3 has been great, and I EXPECT to do very well, but not until I have at least a couple more months on my current project. It turns out it is necessary to learn a LOT, and if you don’t like learning, you’re doomed. HOWEVER, I do believe my current website (link below if you care to look) will eventually make us a very good living through Affiliate Marketing.
==In Affiliate Marketing, you need to first build a site that makes a lot of people happy to be there, so you have good traffic. Then you have links where they can click to go visit companies your represent as an Affiliate. If they buy something there, you get a commission for driving the traffic to those companies. So you don’t need inventory or anything, but you do need a little startup cash (a few hundred at least).
And you do need time…a few months at minimum.
